Some stat nodes are things like +2 Agi, but if you clear the node, you can replace it with a +4 Agi node. It's kind of obtuse and I don't feel like the characters are as diversified as they could be as a result. This is a sphere grid that has had its spheres replaced using clear spheres, for the purposes of min/maxing stats. Hate to say it but I'm not a fan of FF6's Esper system at all. I tend not to love any system in which characters are sort of carbon copies of one-another to a significant extent (which in fairness the original FF7 sort of had going on to a point too but the materia system makes up for it). ![]() I like pre-set characters with leveling-based abilities too. It is a roughly circular grid of interconnected nodes arranged in smaller circular clusters containing the abilities and special skills player characters can learn.
